These rovings are made from pure Zwartble and Zwartble crossed with Ryeland fleeces from a local mixed flock of sheep. Zwartbles is a breed from the Netherlands now a very established breed in the UK.  It is a dairy sheep but the fleece is also great with a strong crimp (which will add extra bounce to this top). It is a naturally deep dark brown coloured fleece, with a 30-32 micron fineness and a 4-4.75 inch staple length.  Lovely to spin with.
