YARNS

We are proud to only sell 100% British wool for knitting, crochet, weaving, whatever your passion. 

 

We stock breed specific wool yarn - from our own Leicester Longwool rare breed sheep, Ryeland and Zwartble from fellow local sheep farmers (we buy the fleeces and get it processed) as well as Shetland, Gotland and Romney currently.  For us, traceability and provenance of our yarns is important.  We want to sell high quality yarns, that come from British sheep farms.  We like to stock undyed natural British wool because the natural shades are so lovely and often hard to find. 

 

As well as breed specific yarns, we also sell British sheep blends, some from a local flock of mixed woolly breeds of sheep, but mostly from two mills in the west country, Blacker Yarns and John Arbon Textiles who make lovely, high quality British sheep yarns from local (to them) sheep breeds.   

 

As you would expect, we stock a variety of weights of British wool, from 4ply through to chunky, perfect for whatever your preferred style of knitting or crochet.
