There can be quite a variation in how dark some of these fleeces are.  There were four fleeces that were really light compared to the others so when we had them commercially prepared, we asked they were processed separately. The staples are  3-4inches, a spinners sweet spot.  The wool is dense and springy.  Please note, it does not felt well
