The yarn comes from Romney Marsh Yarns Wools which produce spun yarn from their own very large flock of Romney sheep. The Romney or the Kent sheep is a "longwool" sheep and was recognised as a breed in England by 1800. Romney is considered to be one of the finer British Breeds at around 32 microns.
