Squishing in South Molton

I paid a lovely visit to John Arbon Textiles in Devon a couple of weeks ago. We are planning to stock some of their yarns and tops in due course. The mill is one of very few small scale worsted spinning mills in the UK and they source much of their wool from the surrounding area, supporting local farmers and sheep breeds. They have a small shop that can be visited by appointment so you can squish before you buy - fatal! The photo of spun yarn is what I made from the beige, blue and cream top called Sheeps nose from their Appledore range
