Mechanisation comes to skein winding

Last year we had our fleeces spun into 4ply yarn on the cone. This is great for weaving, especially as the yarn is strong enough to be used for the warp. But it's less convenient for dyeing or selling to those who don't want 500g of yarn.

So clever Andy has designed and made a skein winder that will wind a pre-determined number of turns so we can be sure we

ave 100g skeins. Clever eh? And having a motor, I don't need to turn the winder either
