This wool was commercially spun in the UK using the fleeces from our own flock of rare breed Leicester Longwool sheep. This yarn has extra twist making it suitable for knitting socks and for using as both a warp and a weft yarn for weaving. Hand wash at low temperature with mild detergent. What a treat to be working in real English wool, knowing it was reared and processed locally. The feel of it in my hands and the very smell as I’m hooking is so different from my usual yarns.
